A luxury cruise ship, like the Princess Cruise, is a place where people of different nationality, religion and age can be found. Getting on a cruise vacation offers a distinct kind of experience to all guests, which may be why a lot of people aspire to try it even just once in their lifetime.
Cruisers’ custom may differ based on their beliefs, however; good manners speak a universal language that everyone will surely understand. Thus, it is critical for guests to act and behave according to social norms. Listed below are the basic yet often neglected don’ts when boarding a cruise ship.
Don’t Make Noise in the Hallways
Laugh out loud when you are on the roof deck talking with your friends or family. Scream on the top of your lungs while watching shows or splashing in the pool of the Princess Cruise. Nobody will care how loud you are since everyone wants to have fun on the sea. However there is a limitation to that, try to keep your voice down whenever you are in the hallways or in your room. Guests don’t go out at the same time together, which means they have different resting schedule. Respect others by minimizing your voice’s volume when you pass by their cabins, just like what they do when they pass by your cabin.
Don’t Ignore Cruise Rules
Rules are implemented to be followed and no one is above the law. Abiding the rules is not only about good manners rather it may have an impact on the safety and health of all the people in the Princess Cruise. Breaking these rules might compromise everyone due to your negligence. Hence, always use the designated smoking areas if you want to light up a cigar. Never light up candles in your cabin to set up a romantic mood. And of course, practice proper hygiene when in the dining area to avoid spreading virus. These simple rules will have huge impact on the outcome of the trip.
Don't Save Pool Lounge Chairs
The issue about pool lounge chair is common to most cruise ships. Some guests will not be able to enjoy the pool due to fully occupied lounge chairs even though there are only few people in sight. How can this be possible? Other cruisers leave their stuff on the lounge chair then they go somewhere else to do other stuff, like get breakfast. This behaviour is very rude as you are prohibiting other guests from using the amenity. Never save a pool lounge chair if you are not going to be there yet. Always give chance to others.
Let's face it. All guests want one thing from boarding a modern cruise ship, like the Princess Cruise, and that is to have fun. If you want to enjoy the trip, others want the same thing. Just show respect and everyone will have a great time.
